Canny's free plan limits you to 25 tracked users. A tracked user is anyone who posts, votes or comments, so an embedded feedback board can blow past 25 in a single launch day.

Paid plans bill per tracked user

In 2025 Canny moved to per-tracked-user billing and retired its older generous free plan. Paid plans start around $79/mo (billed yearly) and scale up with your user count, which is why bills can climb into the hundreds per month as you grow.

Why this is a 'growth tax'

The more your feedback board takes off, the more you pay, even though extra voters cost you nothing to serve. Plenty of teams describe it as being punished for engagement.
